Golf shoes are starting to look more and more like the performance sneakers of today rather than the classic cleats of old. That is because shoes like the Puma BioDrive are designed for surfaces other than the golf course, including the gym.

Featuring three specialized zones, the BioDrive is engineered for flexibility, balance and stability. Designed from the ground up, the shoe's outsole contains 10 octagons which provide 130 unique points of traction. Each octagon was designed to provide traction on both indoor and outdoor surfaces. After all, to excel in today's game requires both training in the gym and on the course.

“Training in the gym and on the course is important for golfers of all levels,” said Joey D. Diovisalvi, a golf fitness expert and Cobra-Puma Golf ambassador. “It’s a great performer on the course that allows the golfer to grip the ground through their swing but can also be worn to the gym. From a biomechanics standpoint, it provides the flexibility, stability and balance necessary for optimal performance.”

The Puma BioDrive will be available for purchase beginning Decmember 15 in four different colorways for $140.
