Following on from the previous "Snow Splatter" pack that featured the XT2+, Puma are giving the iconic R698 silhouette, built on the Puma Trinomic running technology, the "Snow Splatter" treatment. The R698 was born into a great tradition of revolutionary ‘90s Puma performance footwear: Trinomic technology changed the scene with its use of a hexagonal system in the sole that compressed and rebounded load. The Trinomic honeycomb cells cushioned and supported athletes, but the silhouettes' distinctive looks quickly saw them move from the track to be adopted for their lifestyle connotations.
The R698 "Snow Splatter" pack comes in 3 winter inspired colourways. Referencing the cold winter months the pack features a distinctive speckled heel with heavy tumbled leather ready for the cold season. The iconic 90’s runner’s textured nylon upper is a nod to its performance heritage, and contrasts with the premium nubuck overlays for a rich finish.
