Before Kanye West officially joined adidas last year, his G.O.O.D. Music artist Big Sean was already two sneaker collaborations deep with the Three Stripes. If there's anyone to ask about the upcoming Kanye x adidas collaboration, it's definitely the Detroit rapper.
In a recent interview with High Snobiety, Big Sean was asked if he'd seen the widely circulated leaked image of what's been reported as 'Ye's adidas collaboration. "I actually haven’t seen the image but I have seen the new shoe," he said. "I can’t say much about it other than it’s definitely better than the last one and more improved, just like everything else Kanye does."
This obviously doesn't help determine if the sneaker in the leaked image is in fact from Kanye x adidas, but calling the collaboration better than 'Ye's last sneaker, which would be the Nike Air Yeezy II, is definitely a strong statement.
Recall that Theophilus London, who said he's already tried on the sneakers, considers the collaboration "the future of sneakers."
Even before these comments, though, there was already a high level of expectations set because, well, it's Kanye. But with Big Sean saying the collaboration is better than the Yeezy IIs, those expectations might've just increased tenfold.
