When Nike debuted the KD 7, each of the colorways at launch had a story and meaning behind them. Drawing inspiration from Durant's family, childhood, and career Nike dropped six colorways of the KD 7 throughout the summer. The Swoosh is continuing the trend with the latest colorway, that once again explores Durant's childhood dream of being a weatherman.

The KD 7 "Uprising" inspiration comes from Durant's unique ability to be at the top of his sport, while maintaining his humility and competitive nature to become better. The green colorway comes from a rare weather system called sprite lighting, which is a mystery to many meteorologists, as it rises upwards from the top of thunderclouds into the atmosphere. The inspiration came from Durant's career trajectory, and just how special it is to see a player like him, similar to the rarity of sprite lighting. The shoes come in a bright green base, with neon hits through the Swoosh branding and outsole, and is finished off with black accents on the foot strap, midsole, and sock liner.

The KD 7 "Uprising" will be available starting October 16 at the Nike Store.
