The follow-up effort to Sneaker Freaker's 2010 ASICS hit, "Alvin Purple," drops this weekend. The "Melvin" Gel Kayano Trainer, nicknamed after the sequel to the Australian comedy Alvin Purple, will be available on Sneaker Freaker's online store on Saturday, October 18, at 8 a.m. Australia time, which is 5 p.m. EST here in the States. Orders made through Sneaker Freaker will come with a free copy of Issue 31 as well as a poster of the runners.
If you strike out, Michigan-based retailer Premier will release the "Melvins" in-store on Saturday at 11 a.m. EST. The launch will be first-come, first-served, but phone orders will also be accepted at 1-877-742-2660.
If you own the "Alvin Purple" GLIIIs and want to complete the set, don't sleep on this drop.
