This is not something we expected to hear today, but after being arrested this past week for shoplifting underwear and cologne from a store in Texas, Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle has signed on as a spokesman for MeUndies.

As part of his deals with MeUndies, Randle will donate $15,000 worth of underwear and apparel to children in need, while making appearances at Dallas area schools to speak to kids about learning from their past mistakes. After learning of the arrest last week, the Cowboys fined Randle $29,500, which should now be covered by the running back's new endorsement deal.

"There is no excuse for my mistake last week, and I take full responsibility for my actions," Randle said. "I let down my coaches, teammates, and family. My agent and I have spent a lot of time looking for ways I can turn my situation into a learning experience for young people."

Randle's situation may seem bizarre but it isn't unprecedented, as athletes have used endorsement deals to turn around bad PR after scandals before. You may remember Tiger Woods' stone faced Nike ad in 2010 after his controversy-filled year or LeBron James' "Decision"-addressing Nike spot after his departure from Cleveland.

"Partnering with MeUndies allows me the opportunity to give back to others less fortunate than myself, and spread a positive message of not making the same mistake twice," Randle further said.
