We tend to think of the world's best athletes as being indestructible beings incapable of being scared by anything. So when things happen that humanize them, it makes for great entertainment.
Take for instance, US gymnast Simone Biles and her apparent fear of bees. While accepting the gold medal for the all-around title at the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in China, a bee somehow got into the bouquet that was awarded to her. Once it was pointed out to Biles by second place finisher Larisa Iordache that a bee was buzzing around her bouquet, sheer hilarity ensues.
