Dwight Howard's signature shoe with adidas is something of a mystery. It doesn't get the same shine as the LeBrons, KDs or D Roses, yet it is the only signature shoe out there for an NBA big man today. You think maybe he'd get some more love from big men looking for a shoe, but no.
Today, we get a look at adidas "Away" colorway of the D Howard 5, and like most "Away" colorways it comes with a black base accented by Houston Rockets Red. As always, our favorite part of the D Howard 5 is the tongue which shows Dwight soaring towards the rim in his trademark Superman cape. With multiple Rockets road jerseys on deck this season, this shoe should see multiple jerseys pairings. That is, of course, if Dwight and adidas don't already have an "Alternate" colorway up their sleeves.
