Before the adidas Originals ZX Flux burst onto the scene, there was the ZX 8000. The late '80s runner was a game-changer during its heyday with its SoftCell heel, Torsion outsole, and unmistakable heel cage. The Three Stripes pays homage to this model with the ZX Flux Weave in the O.G. "Aqua" colorway.
Considering the ZX Flux is essentially a stripped down version of the ZX 8000, it was only right to pay respect to a pioneer. The commemorative iteration takes the exact color scheme and paneling of the vintage runner and incorporates it onto a one-piece woven upper. The sneaker features tonal shades of aqua blue, yellow accents, and a subtle touch of purple on the woven tongue label. In true ZX form, the sneaker is complete with a heel cage and a Torsion cushioning system.
You can cop of a pair of these runners today at Kith for $120.
