Nike had the internet going nuts when rumblings started that Roger Federer would be wearing a hybrid of the Nike Zoom Vapor 9.5 and the Air Jordan 3 during his quest for an 18th Grand Slam title at the US Open.

Sure enough, when Roger took the court tonight against Marinko Matosevic in New York he was outfitted in the much anticipated NikeCourt Zoom Vapor AJ3 by Jordan. Even better, "His Airness" was there to witness it in person.

When Nike unveiled the NikeCourt collection last week, no one in their wildest dreams would have imagined that such a landmark collaboration would take place. With Jordan and Federer, you have arguably the two best players to ever suit up in their respective sports.

Adding to the star power surrounding the shoes, is designer Tinker Hatifeld, the mastermind behind both the Air Jordan 3 and the Nike Zoom Zoom Vapor 9 Tour. Based off the Air Jordan 3's "White Cement" colorway, the NikeCourt Zoom Vapor AJ 3 features a Jumpman-embroidered tongue, Roger Federer signature graphics, the AJ3's iconic elephant-print panels and Nike Air branding from 1988 on the heel.

The NikeCourt Zoom Vapor AJ3 drops tomorrow online and in-stores at Niketown NYC, the Flight Lab and North American NikeLab locations.
