USA Track and Field has teamed up with Nike once again, this time for special edition of the iconic Pegasus running shoe.

The Nike Zoom Pegasus 31 was designed to be faster and more responsive then any of the previous Pegasus models over the last 31-years. That however doesn't mean they strayed away from what made it so popular, as they incorporated Zoom Air units for a cushioned, responsive ride, and the upper still maintains the breathable, ventilated feel. Where the Zoom Pegasus 31 differs is the new contoured design, that features a 10 millimeter dropped offset to promote a more natural stance, and an engineered midfoot saddle designed to provide ultimate lockdown while under the foot.

Check out the video of Nike senior footwear designer Mark Miner, as he details the inspiration and design process that went into creating the USATF Nike Zoom Pegasus 31.
