Now that the sale of the Clippers to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has finally been approved, things can get back to normal for Chris Paul and company in Los Angeles, and they can start to focus on next season. This means rolling out the next signature shoe for the Clippers star point guard, and this may just be our first look at the Jordan CP3.VIII.

The CP3 branding is evident along the tongue, so all signs point to this being Paul's eighth signature shoe with Jordan Brand. This year's model is however slightly lower cut then Paul's signatures in years past, as he's opted for a mid-cut silhouette for the last few seasons. The upper appears to be made from a Hyperfuse material which is good for the point guards quickness, but they didn't change everything as Paul once again opted for a bootie-styled inner lining for a more adaptive fit. A standout here is the midsole, which seemingly flows right into the TCU heel cup seamlessly without any break. In most opinion's, CP3's signatures havn't been the most aesthetically pleasing throughout the years, but since this seems to be one of the first runs, don't jump to conclusions just yet, as Jordan Brand has been known to surprise.
