Skating and Southern California are pretty much inseparable. Over the weekend, Nike SB, along with Paul Rodriguez, Eric Koston, and Theotis Beasley, brought skating back to the historic West L.A. Courthouse. Skating at the West L.A. Courthouse was stopped back in the early-2000s, when the city skate-stopped the facility by adding knobs around the building and seating area. For fans of old school skate videos, you are probably already familiar with the West LA Courthouse, which was also known as the Santa Monica Courthouse.

Announced back on Go Skateboarding Day, Nike SB completely renovated the facility and hosted the official opening this weekend with members of its skate team as well as officials from the city. Check out some video of the opening below, as well as some images of the event. For those looking to give the renewed skate spot a try, the address is 1633 Purdue Avenue, Los Angeles, Calif. 90025.
