Last week, Packer Shoes shared a teaser of James Worthy's New Balance 740 retro. Worthy was the first athlete to receive a New Balance signature sneaker, so you can imagine there's a lot of significant history between the two parties. To coincide with today's NBA Draft—Worthy was selected No. 1 overall by the Lakers in 1982—Packer has officially unveiled this retro gem.

The O.G. P740 "Worthy Express" features a leather build with an unmistakable padded ankle collar. The high-top basketball shoe is outfitted in its original black and white color palette and sits atop an EVA midsole for max cushioning. Even the 740's unique lacing system stays true to original form on this retro release.

Hop aboard the "Worthy Express" on July 10, exclusively at Packer Shoes—in-store and online. The fare will cost you $120.
