The NBA and signature sneakers have been synonymous ever since players were lacing up Chuck Taylors. Now the NBA is getting in on the action itself by releasing their own shoe to celebrate the league's 68th anniversary.
With the Association turning 68 years old on June 6, the 1,946 pairs is in recognition of the league's inaugural 1946 season. The shoes have no brand affiliation, as the league opted to avoid a partnership with a companies like outfitter adidas or basketball giant Nike.
The commemorative shoes will be released on June 6 for the price of $119.
