When you look at signature sneakers from major brands through the years, not many big men have been able to make a true mark and sell at the rate of others. Dwight Howard has fallen prey to this notion, but adidas doesn't seem effected as they debuted the latest signature for the Houston center, the D Howard 5.

Dwight's line has produced some high performance level shoes but often get lost in the shuffle with other big names dominating sales. The D Howard 5 features the Superman logo along the tongue, which everyone remembers from those classic Slam Dunk contests against Nate Robinson, and Dwight's branding along the ankle. Unlike other recent basketball shoes coming from adidas, the D Howard 5 does not feature Boost cushioning, and takes a more conservative approach that is built around a powerful game as many centers command. The first colorway comes in a USA themed red/white/blue, but look for more colors to come in the near future especially one's matching his Houston Rockets colors.

Stay tuned for official release info for the adidas D Howard 5, and let us know what you think of the big man's latest signature shoe @SneakerReport.
