After teasing a project with adidas Originals' Consortium group earlier in the week, Footpatrol has officially unveiled the collaboration. Using the vintage Stefan Edberg tennis shoe, the "Strawberries and Cream" is a nod to Wimbledon's tradition of serving a strawberries and cream dish to spectators.
The Edberg features a strawberry red suede upper, tonal Three Stripes branding, and a cream midsole with a matching terry cloth lining. There's also Footpatrol branding on the tongue tab, heel, and inserts.
The "Strawberries and Cream" Edberg releases on Saturday, June 28, in-store at Footpatrol. There will also be an online drop on Footpatrol.co.uk at 8 a.m. BST (3 a.m. EST). Retail price is £95, or about $161.
