The pressure's on. 3-2 was the number of the night as San Antonio and Toronto took advantage in their respective series, while the Houston Rockets were able to come back from a 3-1 deficit. Much like the rest of the first round, last night's games were all closely contested, with Brooklyn-Toronto coming down to the wire on a Kyle Lowry three-pointer.

At home, San Antonio showed exactly why they remain a postseason force year after year, holding off the scrappy Mavericks 109-103 to take the lead before Game 6 on Friday in Dallas. Tony Parker (pictured) led the way for the Spurs on offense, but it was Thiago Splitter who turned in the game's best performance with 17 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists. Meanwhile, Dirk Nowitzki, Vince Carter, and Monta Ellis all had 20+ apiece, but couldn't find a way to stop the Spurs in the end.

From Toronto, the Raptors managed to walk away with a 115-113 W after almost blowing it in the fourth, where they were outscored 44-24. Despite the struggle, Kyle Lowry was an offensive machine, further cementing himself as one of the biggest All-Star snubs in recent memory with 36 points and shooting 6-9 from the arc.

All this plus Portland vs. Houston in Game 5 and last night's MLB MVPs after the jump.
