Nike today revealed what FC Barcelona will suit up in for its home games during the 2014-15 season. The new-look kit—which was unveiled by Messi, Neymar and Co.—features a fresh, modern take on the classic Barca as one of the most storied club teams in the world looks ahead to next season.
For all you traditionalists—don’t get all riled up just yet. The unis still feature the same iconic red and blue stripes, except this year they’re slightly bolder and wider. For the first time in club history, the Catalan flag will appear on the front of the shirt. It’s joined by a new crest, along with a relaxed blue collar paired with an open V-neck design to show off that Catalan pride. To round out the look, Barca will rock blue shorts with a thin red stripe running down the sides, as well as blue socks with a red band at the top.
As with virtually all modern-day Swoosh-branded soccer kits, Barca players will get the best of both aesthetics and performance. The kits are constructed using Dri-Fit technology for ultimate comfort on the pitch, and feature an updated fit designed to move more naturally with the body.
Barca fans will be able to gear up in their new home kit starting May 17, 2014.
