This signature 997 runner first released in 1991 and its 2014 version stays true to original form. The upper is made up of mostly a dark navy with a suede and mesh blend, while hits of grey pebbled leather on the tongue and heel give it a premium appearance. The base of this sneaker is equipped with New Balance's Encap cushioning technology for max comfort and support. The one and only difference between this retro runner and its O.G. predecessor is that the re-issue is a Made in USA product, now. Somewhere out there, a New Balance loyalist just shed a tear.
