Saucony has been kicking since 1898, but this year feels like a renaissance for the footwear brand. It's not just because the running category has begun to integrate further into the conversation of style, but also due to its presence within sneaker collaborations. The brand's offering of retro runners has found a niche, but growing, place within the sneaker hype machine. And the recent collabs have sold out, too—sometimes mere seconds after their release.

For those who have been into Saucony sneakers, they know that collabs are nothing new, and there have been plenty of solid contributions over the past six years. Although Shadow 5000s, 6000s, and Grid 9000s are catching on in the States, the world of Saucony collaborations has been an international affair. Shops in England, Berlin, Amsterdam, Boston, and New York City have all put in their two cents on what a great pair of Sauconys should look like. But who reigns supreme? We've enlisted the help of @threegeees, who runs @shadowmob, to help us compile a list of the best Saucony collaborations ever. It's a daunting task, but this is our conclusion. Here are The 20 Best Saucony Collaborations of All Time.

Sneaker: Floorlords x Saucony Courageous
Year: 2008

Saucony's back catalog has been a fan favorite amongst underground hip-hop heads— especially b-boys. Breakdance crew Floorlords was given an early Saucony collab in 2008, and it featured three pairs of the Courageous. Other than the crew's name being on the side of the sneaker, the collection replaced the runner on the tongue logo with a b-boy in the middle of a headspin. Good luck finding a pair of these today.

Year: 2013

Saucony may be an American footwear brand, but it has a huge reach in the UK, too. This is made exemplary through Scotland's Hanon working on two pairs of the Shadow Master dubbed the "Midnight Runner" pack. The black, purple, and blue pair is best remembered out of the pack, but there was also a grey, orange, and black makeup that's equally as stellar. What makes this collab even more noteworthy is that it inspired Extra Butter to make the "Space Snack" out of the Shadow Master because of how Hanon used the silhouette.

Sneaker: Solebox x Saucony Shadow 5000 "Pink/Grey Devils"
Year: 2012

In 2006, Solebox created the idea of the "Purple Devils," a purple-toeboxed New Balance. In some circles, it's one of the most sought-after runners of all time. That's not the only time Solebox danced with the devil, though. Just a few years ago, it took the same colorblocking and interchanged the purple for pink and grey on two pairs of Saucony Shadow 5000s. Once again, Solebox took the same colors and flipped them on both sneakers. Don't like a pink toebox? There's a sneaker with a pink liner, and vice versa with grey.
