If you're a fan of Nike's Air Max trainers, then you've probably enjoyed 2014 so far. Not only did the Air Max 1 celebrate its 27th anniversary this year with Air Max Day, but some gems even returned by way of the Air Max 98 and Triax. For our Kicks of the Day, we take a look at the former and highlight this underrated runner from '98.

Even though the Nike Air Max 98 "Cool Grey/Volt" is a new 2014 colorway in the line, it's still equipped with O.G. treatment that would make any Air Max fanatic proud. The sneaker is constructed of leather and mesh paneling with a color combination of black, white, cool grey, and volt. The upper and all its wavy lines sit atop a full-length volt Max Air unit for comfort with each step you take. Overall, this is still the same great sneaker that possesses a distinctive look that rivals any of the other unique bubble-equipped trainers in the Air Max family.

Take it back to '98 and pick up the Nike Air Max 98 "Cool Grey/Volt" at Finish Line for $160.
