The DRYV Baller 2.0 basketball shorts from Point 3 promise to be "The World's Best Basketball Shorts." Equipped with towel-like material on the sides, the shorts are meant for you to be able to wipe down your hands during the game without having to retreat to the bench. At first look, the DRYV Baller 2.0 shorts looked more like a novelty and less like a functional basketball tool. However, by the end of our test run, we were eating our initial words as the shorts ended up being quite a luxury to have.
We decided to put the short's lofty billing to test in the toughest of situations, with a rec league playoff spot on the line. The scenario was simple: win the game and we were in, lose and the season was over. With that much riding on the game (granted it was a rec league), the pressure was sure to be high and perspiration was guaranteed.
Before the game, I thought that I never really needed to urgently dry my hands while on the basketball court. However, once the game tipped off, I found myself enjoying this new luxury of having moisture controlled shorts, as I frequently found myself reaching down to my sides wiping my hands off. When I was lined up for a foul shot or dropping back on a change of possession, my hands often grazed my sides without me even knowing it, as I became accustomed to this new luxury. While not a completely necessary tool, the DRYV Baller 2.0 shorts did help, as we were both victorious and playoff bound.
In addition to the shorts, we gave Point 3's X-Wrap Socks a try too. The socks provide base layer ankle support. Compression bands are placed around the arch and ankle where players roll their ankles the most. Besides the added support, the socks were extremely comfortable to play in and definitely aided in my performance more so than any other sock that I have ever worn while playing basketball. The next time I geared up to play, I made sure to wear the X-Wrap Socks again.
