A Brooklyn teenager was shot Saturday morning as he attempted to cut the line at a local Foot Locker in his bid to cop a pair of "Yeezy" Nike Foamposite Pros.

The New York Daily News reported that at 6 a.m., Isaiah Martinez, 15, attempted to cut the line of 'heads who were waiting for the Knickerbocker Ave. Foot Locker in Brooklyn, N.Y. An argument ensued, and an individual involved in the altercation left and returned to the scene with a gun. The individual then opened fire on the teen hitting him in the foot. While some witnesses' doubt the shooters intent to kill the victim, there was no question the shooter wanted to send a message to the young sneakerhead.

According to Jayson Roque, who works at a close-by Gamestop, "I guess he tried to get tough with one of the guys he cut."

Because of the shooting, Foot Locker had to delay the release until 11 a.m. The sneakers then sold out by 6 p.m., per a sign put on the store's window.
