The Syracuse Lacrosse team has a storied past winning 11 national championship titles with the most recent happening in 2009. Those 11 NCAA championship titles won by the Orange are the most since the NCAA began holding official tournaments for Division I beginning in 1971. It's only fitting that a team always on the cutting edge on the field as 'Cuse is, teams up with the leader in sport innovation to outfit their player's with the best possible equipment.

Today, Nike debuted the Fast Break Uniforms which Syracuse will wear in their game this weekend against the #7 ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The Orange will be the first program to wear the newly designed uniforms from Nike which are the lightest lacrosse uniform to date. Much like the Nike Vapor jersey, the Fast Break Uniforms are made of four-way stretch woven fabric but include new ventilation systems in high-temperature areas making the new jerseys 17 percent lighter then the current model. To finish the look, players will wear the Nike Pro Combat Hypercool SS Fitted Crew baselayer, which further increases breathability and comfort.

For now Nike only hooked 'Cuse up with the home white jersey, but as a unique feature the jersey has an image of the Syracuse University Hall of Languages façade woven into the fabric on the shoulders. And of course, it wouldn't be Syracuse complete without their motto “Head, Heart, Hustle” inside the collar.

Watch the #9 ranked Orange face off against Notre Dame tomorrow March 29, to see the Fast Break uniforms in action, and keep it locked to Sneaker Report for all future jerseys from Nike.
