Over the years, we've all seen sneaker collaborations with rappers come and go. There have been the S Dots and the G-Unit sneakers, to the ever elusive Air Yeezys. But nothing will ever come close to the meaning and natural fit of Run D.M.C.'s partnership with adidas. Starting back before there were rapper endorsements, adidas made the decision to sign the now-iconic trio as spokesmen for the brand. This was a landmark moment for music and sneaker culture, and would help shape their paths for years to come.
