Straying away from the colorful Flyknit uppers that have graced all the retail releases of the Nike Kobe 9 Elite so far, Kobe Bryant gets a solid black offering in the form of these "Black/Tour Yellow-Dark Grey" PEs.
Intended for use during road games and as a tie back to the Los Angeles Lakers' "Hollywood Nights" alternate jerseys, these 9s are arguably the tamest Kobes we've seen to date, well with the exception of the "Black/White" NRGs. While tame, this colorway certainly is no slouch. The black and yellow color story continues a traditional offering in the Kobe footwear lineage. The question on the minds of sneakerheads though is whether or not these will make it to retail like previous black/yellow models. Stay tuned and let's hope we get to see Kobe rock these sooner than later.
