In New Orleans, high octane offense was the theme for the evening as the Eastern All-Stars, led by MVP Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers, came from behind to defeat their Western counterparts 163 to 155.
Offensive records fell by the wayside as both teams put up a barrage of three point bombs coupled with high flying dunks that had us jumping out of our seat in excitement. Nike athletes, LeBron James and Kevin Durant, came out as expected in their signature models, the Nike LeBron XI "Gator King" and Nike KD VI "Illusion" from the "NOLA Gumbo League" Collection, which the Swoosh heavily promoted leading up to the contest. First time All-Star DeMar DeRozan of the Toronto Raptors wore the third shoe from that collection, the Nike Kobe 9 Elite "Devotion," which Kobe Bryant would have worn if not for his injury.
Jordan Brand was well represented with the New York Knicks' Carmelo Anthony, Los Clippers' Chris Paul and Blake Griffin all wearing their signature models from the "Crescent City" Collection while the Brooklyn Nets' Joe Johnson laced up the flagship model, the Air Jordan XX8 SE.
If you were seeing double, or in this case triple, it's because adidas athletes Damian Lillard of the Portland Trailblazers, Joakim Noah of the Chicago Bulls, and "Dunk Champ" John Wall of the Washington Wizards all wore the Crazyquick 2 "All-Star."
Last but not least, the Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade might've had the most surprising pair of the evening as he took the court wearing a never before seen colorway of his Li-Ning Way of Wade 2 while the game's MVP Kyrie Irving took home the honors wearing a PE colorway of the Nike Zoom HyperRev.
