White Mountaineering and Saucony have worked together for a couple of seasons, and have turned Saucony's back catalog into high-end menswear sought after by those obsessed with the details of Japanese brands.
For Spring/Summer 2014, the two brands worked on two pairs of Shadow Originals, and instead of doing something extreme, White Mountaineering kept the vintage runners very simple. There's an all-black pair and another pair that's reminiscent of '80s runners with a blue and yellow upper.
Although these sneakers look plain, the past White Mountaineering x Saucony collabs have fetched up to $400 a pair. What makes these sneakers special, besides their clean looks, is the White Mountaineering tag on the tongues--a detail that the average Saucony collaboration doesn't get.
The sneakers will only be available through White Mountaineering accounts.
