The second generation of one of 2013's favorite running shoes is here. The Nike Flyknit Lunar 2 has made its debut in the film "Lighter, Stronger, Nike Flyknit" today, flaunting a lightweight upper with unprecedented strength paired with responsive Lunarlon cushioning.

Rob Dolan, the senior design director of Nike Running, expands on the success of this second generation shoe: "The Flyknit Lunar2 brings two of our best innovation and technology together in one package. You get the great soft, responsive, fluid ride of Lunarlon cushioning with this amazing, light but supportive upper through Flyknit. Those two things together are a magical combination.

Following the successful release of the Nike Flyknit Lunar+1, the shoe incorporates the same properties of Flyknit technology to cradle the foot and provide a supportive ride with a few updates. The Flyknit upper now has more stretch to provide an improved fit and the tongue is now attached to keep it in place while logging miles. The outsole pattern is influenced by a pressure map data for a more flexible, fluid ride.

The Nike Flyknit Lunar 2 will be available February 6 for customization at  NikeiD or in Volt / White / Blue Glow for men and Atomic Orange / White / Purple for women for $160.
