As skate footwear continues to infuse select aspects from running sneakers, we see so even more with the revealing of Paul Rodriguez's new signature, the Nike SB P-Rod 8. In getting our first look at the forthcoming silhouette, we see a notable transition to a more runner-inspired skate shoe.
The P-Rod 8 makes good use of mesh, Hyperfuse materials and Flywire throughout on the lightweight model, as the breathable upper rests atop an intriguing Lunarlon sole unit. The technologically-advanced board sneaker is for now expected to retail at a high price point of $130.
While details are still developing, we also see another new P-Rod variant, the P-Rod CTD (see below), that looks more like a standard Nike SB sneaker as of late. Could this be a less expensive alternative to Rodriguez's forthcoming sig? Again, concrete info has yet to be disclosed, but be sure to keep it locked to Complex for more.
