On New Year’s Eve, Toronto Raptors fan Alan Vale almost had the ultimate come-up when Kyle Lowry attempted to toss him his game-worn Peak Kyle Lowry II sneakers after a win over the Chicago Bulls. However, some heartless soul in Chicago intercepted the sneakers and took them for himself.
Thanks to Twitter, word got back to Lowry and he decided to right that wrong last night. Vale and a friend were invited to last night's Raptors home game, where Lowry personally delivered a pair of his shoes.
“I was not expecting that. Absolutely not. I was pretty blown away just to be sitting courtside and watching the shootaround. This is definitely one of the highlights of my being a Raptors fan.” Vale told Jay Satur of the official Toronto Raptors website.
