Foot Locker's House of Hoops in Harlem, New York was transformed into the launch pad for the Jordan Melo M10, which dropped at stores this past weekend. Carmelo Anthony was in the building to greet fans and take part in a Q&A session led by Power 105.1's Angela Yee and DJ Envy. Here are some of the highlights from Melo's conversation:
On his favorite signature shoes from his line: "I would have to go with Melo 1.5, the 5.5 and, of course, the M10."
On having his tenth signature shoe: "I never really thought I would have one signature shoe, but now we are at ten. Besides MJ; Kobe, LeBron, and myself are the only ones who have ten signature sneakers. That right there is a special moment for me."
On the inspiration for the M10s design: "I got with the Picasso of sneaker making which is Tinker Hatfield. They gave me the call and said Tinker wanted to design my tenth shoe so it was a no-brainer for me to just come in and vibe with him."
