Michael Jordan set the basketball world on its ear when he left the game to try his hand at baseball. While the decision came as a result of his fathers passing, MJ joined the minor league ranks by way of the Birmingham Barons.
In honor of his time away from the hardwood, the folks over at Jordan Brand created this "Birmingham Barons" Air Jordan IX. Aside from sporting a white/black/grey color palette inspired by the teams jerseys, these joints don the number 45 Jordan rocked during his stint in Alabama. Expect these to round the bases on April 5.
