Since his return on December 8, Kobe Bryant has been doing his best to shake off the rust from his absence. After a rough start, Bryant led the Lakers to their first win since his comeback on Saturday against the Charlotte Bobcats. Kobe had 21 points, and for the first time in a while, looked something like his old self out there. Tonight, the Lakers travel to Atlanta to take on the 12-12 Hawks. Los Angeles comes into tonight's game at 11-12, so tonight's game has all the makings of a closely contested battle.

Four years ago today, the Lakers escaped with a 107-106 win over the Milwaukee Bucks thanks to a huge night from Kobe Bryant and teammate Pau Gasol. During the December 16, 2009 encounter, Kobe had 39 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists to lead LA in scoring. Gasol also turned in big numbers with a 26 point, 22 rebound double-double. If both guys can muster this level of play again tonight, it should be an easy W for the Lakers.

For the 2009-10 season, Kobe was laced in the Nike Zoom Kobe IV. This Eric Avar-designed model was notable for being the first Bryant sig to employ a low-cut profile. If you're interested in owning a piece of history, the Zoom Kobe IV will be released in the coming weeks as part of the Nike Kobe Prelude Pack.
