Nike enlisted the help of world-class athletes Wayne Rooney and Rory McIlroy to help unveil its most innovative soccer ball yet, and while only the former will be putting the Ordem ball to use on the professional level, it didn’t stop McIlroy from getting in on the festivities.

Both Rooney and McIlroy took to the golf course of all places to showcase the Nike Ordem in a lighthearted exchange of trick shots—Rory with his Nike VRS Covert 2.0 driver and Wayne armed in a pair of Hypervenom Phantom cleats. What followed was perhaps one of the most entertaining Nike Golf videos since Tiger Wood’s retro “Club Juggling” ad from way back when. As if there the ad was lacking in star power, Brazilian soccer legend Ronaldo even made a pretty funny cameo to put it over the top.

As for the Ordem ball—it’s designed to help players improve control, trajectory and increase the overall visibility on the pitch. It’s constructed using 12 fuse-welded panels in a 3-layer casing system, and a poly-blend wrapped, free-floating carbon latex bladder. The ball’s surface is laden with Nike RaDaR (Rapid Decision and Response) technology to allow players to see it more clearly using their peripheral vision.

The Ordem will be available at Nike starting Thursday, December 5, 2013. It will be used by all Nike-sponsored national squads, including the ten Swoosh-branded teams who will take part in the 2014 Brazil World Cup next summer.
