The 2013 edition of the Shanghai International Marathon attracted over 35,000 runners to the starting line last weekend. But what’s even more impressive than the shear number of runners is the limited edition footwear pack Nike rolled out inspired by the race.
A departure from the traditional Chinese red color scheme, Nike released all-blue and all-black silhouettes of its Free 5.0 V2 sneakers. Both versions come complete with Chinese-themed branding, including a “Shanghai Shen” logo on the heel, as well as Shanghai-inspired branding on the insoles.
The Nike Free 5.0 V2 Shanghai Marathon Pack is available exclusively at Nike Shanghai retailers, so if you want to get your hands on a pair, you’ll have to take a trip out East.
