After just recently signing young guns Victor Oladipo, Otto Porter Jr. and Cody Zeller to their roster, it is now being reported that San Antonio Spurs swingman Kawhi Leonard will also be joining Jordan Brand.
Kawhi is now clearly a pivotal part of the aging Spurs squad, as he helped Tony Parker, Tim Duncan and company come oh so close to cutting down the nets last year. Ray Allen for three...
Anyway, Leonard has been rocking Jordans since his early days hooping and has recently been seen sporting Jumpman's Super.Fly 2 atop NBA hardwoods this season. The initial report of the deal comes from Spurs beat writer Jeff McDonald, who recently quoted Kawhi as saying, “I've been wearing Jordans really ever since I started playing. I'm excited he decided to bring me along.”
So while no official statement has been released just yet from JB, we are left wondering and debating. Leonard no doubt has the talent to be on Jordan Brand's roster, but does he have the usual flair that comes along with it?
