Two People Shot While Waiting in Line For the "Bel-Air" Air Jordan 5's

At the end of the day, they are just shoes.

None

With any high profile release, comes the unavoidable flock of sneakerheads who come out or “camp” for a chance to get their hands on the kicks they desire. While we have no problem with the sneakerheads coming out in full force, we do have a problem with the violence that occurs. Yes, each person out there waiting in line is there trying to add to their collection, but why bring the element of violence into an equation that doesn’t call for it? There are obviously individuals out there who haven’t learned anything from violent acts that have occurred in the past because of shoes. From the fatal shooting outside of Wish in Atlanta, to two people recently being shot in front of VILLA in Wilmington, Delaware during the “Bel-Air” Air Jordan V release, we think it’s safe to say that the violence needs to stop. Since when did copping kicks literally come to a life and death situation? They might be fly and look nice or serve as some sort of status symbol, but at the end of the day they are just shoes. No ones life should be put in harms way for a pair of shoes. To all of you sneakerheads out there, be safe. In the words of the Wu-Tang Clan, Protect ya kneck.
