The vast majority of basketball fanatics would agree that Michael Jordan is the greatest to ever play the game. His on-court dominance and ability to seemingly do it all made him one of the most impressive players of all time. However, without the stellar Chicago bulls supporting cast behind him, there's a chance that Jordan may have never realized his greatness.
Jordan debuted in 1985, and on October 7, 1987, his soon-to-be right hand man joined the Bulls. Drafted out of the University of Central Arkansas, Scottie Pippen was originally selected fifth overall in the '87 draft by the Seattle Supersonics but was quickly dealt to Chicago. He made an impact early on, earning his first of seven NBA All-Star appearances in 1990. The following year, Jordan, Scottie, and the rest of the Bulls would embark on the first of two historic three-peats.
When it comes to sneakers, Pippen was a Nike guy through and through. Most commonly associated with models like the Nike Air Max More Uptempo and Air Maestro, one of Pippen's first Nike models was the Air Flight 89. This decades-old classic has been re-released several times throughout the years, and is currently available for $70.
