Nike’s Hyperfuse basketball series has been such a hit since its debut in the late 2000s and has taken on cult status since, thanks to a slew of innovative designs propelling each update. The newest edition of the Hyperfuse is no different.

The Nike Hyperfuse 2013 is an example of subtle evolution disguised as wild change, with its graphic-enhanced ankle and zig-zag heel tabs, but in all truth, it’s the same good thing you’ve seen before in a package that pushes forward from its performance roots. Zoom Air, Hyperfuse construction, and aggressive herringbone traction (with a decoupled heel) are all still mainstays from the prior incarnations of the Hyperfuse and likely with better on-court performance, as the series tends to improve.

Though players like Rajon Rondo won’t be playing in these any time soon, expect to start seeing these in action this winter.

If you want a shoe that cushions as well as it propels on the court, the Nike Hyperfuse 2013 is probably a great choice for you.
