After quite a bit of time away from the sneaker scene, Gary Paytons Nike Zoom Flight “The Glove” finally made its way back earlier this month. Having returned in OG fashion via the black/white/red colorway, all of you sneakerheads will soon see the arrival of the OG white/black/poison green offering. While The Gloves playing days are far behind him, the Payton name carries on thanks to his offsprings. As you have already seen from the title of this post, Gary Payton Jr. has a few goodies to share with the sneaker world. With several new color schemes in the works for the previously mentioned iconic Nike basketball silhouette, Gary Payton Jr. has a color scheme all to himself. Labeled as a PE, the pair in question sports a simple white and blue color palette. Oh how nice it is to be the son of one of the NBA’s best point guards who also happened to have an extremely popular signature shoe. Even though we won’t see GP lace these kicks up on the court anymore, it is nice to see the sneaker torch being passed in a roundabout kind of way. Though it took Nike 15 years to bring them back, “The Glove” is still a perfect fit even in todays crazy sneaker climate.
