By now, all of you sneaker fiends out there have already marked December 21st on every single calendar you own. In case you may not be familiar with what is dropping that day, allow us to refresh you sneaker memory. The highly anticipated “Gamma Blue” Air Jordan XI is slated to release on the previously mentioned day. While this is a new colorway for the Tinker Hatfield designed classic, it adds to the plethora of popular non-OG color schemes that have taken the sneaker world by storm upon their release. Since the “Bred” AJXI retro as a part of the CDP pack in 2008, the sneaker community has seen a holiday release of the AJXI each and every year. The tradition will be more than kept alive in more ways than one. Not only will we see another AJXI release, but we will also see the annual return of the infamous special deluxe slide-out packaging made famous by the 2009 release of the “Space Jam” colorway. Throw in the equally popular plastic shoe trees and your yearly AJXI release is complete. Now that all of you sneakerheads will be able to check out all of the “Gamma Blues” bells and whistles, where do you stand when it comes to copping these or letting them pass? Are you excited about this new color palette? Or would you rather have seen an OG colorway release this year?
