What a year it has been for Rafael Nadal. If you remember, Nadal had to watch this very tournament from the comfort of his home. Now he has made a triumphant return and claimed 2013 to be his year.

Last night, Nadal came to this US Open Finals to pick up something he forgot last year – a Grand Slam title. Nadal faced off against Novak Djokovic who was the No. 1 seed coming into the tournament. On his least favorite surface to play on, Nadal took down Djokovic 6-2, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1. He celebrated by rolling on the floor and sobbing tears of joy. "First thing, very, very emotional," Nadal said afterward, "because of how much means the match for me. Playing against Novak is always a very special feeling. No one takes my game to the limit like Novak."

Nadal served up this win in the Nike Air Courtballistic 4.3 from the “Claim the Night” pack. This has been Nadal’s go to sneakers throughout the tournament. The Courtballistic 4.3’s upper uses  Drag-On 2X technology for durability during long sets. The combination of  Air Max and Lunarlon makes every move you make responsive while keeping you comfortable.

This epic finale took 3 hours and 20 minutes and it’s great to see Nadal return in top form to take his 13th major championship.
