Word on the University of Syracuse campus is that the school’s beloved football team will soon be the proud recipients of a uniform makeover courtesy of Nike—this, according to players on the team who were a part of brainstorming session when Nike visited the campus earlier this summer, as reported by Syracuse.com.

"I was in the meeting, but they didn't have any examples. They just wanted to get ideas," said junior linebacker Cam Lynch. "They showed us some replicas of different jerseys, like maybe put this in there, but they haven't showed us the actual thing yet. Hopefully it's live."

Included in the potential uniform upgrade is an all-new helmet design expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks. There’s no official word yet as to when the Orange will take to the field in the new uniforms (if at all). Though, the team’s October 5th ACC opener against Clemson could be a potential date.
