Championship weekend at the 2013 US Open got off to a hot start on Friday, as the veteran mixed doubles team of Max Mirnyi and Andrea Hlavackova defeated American Abigail Spears and Mexico’s Santiago Gonzalez in a straight-sets, 7-6 (7-5), 6-3.

Myrnyi, at 36 years of age, moved around the court like his young self, running down more than his share of the balls. The win marked the 10th Grand Slam doubles title for the Belarus native, as well as his third career US Open championship. For Hlavackova, it’s only her first win in a major, though she does have a 2011 French Open women’s doubles title on her resume.

For anyone keeping track, both players wore Nike footwear, Mirnyi in the Air Max Courtballistec 4.3, and Hlavackova in the Zoom Vapor 9 Tour. Check out the complete list of what shoes every player at the US Open is wearing here.
