This week, a movie about bodybuilding is hitting theaters called Generation Iron. The movie enters the realm of bodybuilding and tackles the myths surrounded by the sport. When bodybuilding began in the 1970s, the general public didn't know much about the sport. It wasn't until a breakthrough documentary that featured a well-known champion, Arnold Schwarzenegger, when people began to realize what it was.

General Iron’s producer, Vlad Yudin spent months with seven body builders featured in this docudrama as they prepared for the Mr. Olympiad contest. When finishing the film, Yudlin state that he came away with an appreciation of how little the public still knows about the sport and the athletes dedication to pursue physical perfection.

When it comes to body builders and what they wear on their feet, they look for something that gives them great stability to power through a workout. A great shoe for that is the adidas Powerlift 2.0. The Powerlift has a wide solid base and a high-density midsole to hold your weight in place. The upper is made with a light mesh and includes a midfoot strap for great lockdown. The Powerlift 2.0 is available at adidas retailers for $90.

Catch Generation Iron in September 20th in select theaters near you.
