Sneakerheads, for lack of a better term, sometimes take their knowledge of sneakers too far. They think that, just because they know who designed every Air Jordan, they have some extrasensory clarity when it comes to sneakers that not many others share. Not only is this not necessarily true, but sometimes a little knowledge can actually be a dangerous thing. It's easy for someone who spends all of their time (and money) on sneakers to overestimate their own importance. So while we've taken the mainstream media to task before, this time we look within.
