Having previewed the New Balance Fresh Foam 980 earlier in the summer, technically, this would be a "second glance" at the latest running creation from NB. But hey, that's besides the point. The bottom line is, there's an all-new running technology that's slated to hit the market soon, and it deserves as much attention as possible.

Different from its REVlite midsole (both in terms of structure and density), the Fresh Foam midsole is more plush, but it still offers excellent cushioning and energy rebound. Constructed using 3-D printing technology, the state-of-the-art midsole is all about a natural running experience.

The first shoe to boast Fresh Foam will be the NB 980, though the technology is expected to adopted in other NB models as well. The Fresh Foam 980 comes with a no-sew upper with welded overlays for lightweight comfort, and features a 4mm offset from heel-to-toe.

The release date for the NB Fresh Foam 980 is scheduled for February 15, 2014. This is one running shoe you definitely want to keep your eye out for.
