There’s still plenty of time left in the current year, but today we give triathletes something to look forward to in 2014 as we preview the Asics Gel NoosaFast 2 racing flat.
Building on the immediate success of the original NoosaFast, the follow-up model features a series of upgrades to give it more horsepower under the hood without changing too much. Runners will be glad to know that the core of the shoe (the midsole and outsole) remains untouched. However, Asics has lowered the heel tab on the shoe to minimize friction on the heel.
The shoe features redesigned overlays centered in the midfoot for support, with none in the forefoot for improved flexibility. Asics has also done away with the bungee laces in exchange for standard ones.
The Gel NoosaFast 2 is scheduled for a January 2014 release.
